Big enough to make a difference; small enough to know your name!

Since the summer of 1995, I have had the happy privilege of being the Pastor of Erin Presbyterian Church. The people here mix their faith with fun, friendship, and fellowship, to serve God through love, kindness, and care for one another.

When our family came to Knoxville from Scotland, we came to a place that was largely unfamiliar to us. Our extended family was three thousand miles away, and we didn't have any friends.

Erin Church embraced us and made us feel at home. The warm welcome that we experienced, along with the faith that we shared, enabled our family to overcome our worries about living in a new town or worshiping in a different church. Erin's kindness touched our lives and soon filled the emptiness that we carried in our hearts.

Over the years, I have seen that same love and kindness, faith-sharing and friendship, bestowed upon many visitors and new-comers to our church. No matter who we are or where we come from, Jesus wants us to love one another. At Erin, Christ's greatest commandment is always being fulfilled.
