On Stage in November: All the Way Home, by Tad Mosel
Knoxville, 1915 … A widow, her young
son, and their relatives and friends confront the heartache of
life following a sudden, accidental death in the family, then gradually
rise from the ashes to face the hope of renewed life.
The production is directed by Steve
Fitchpatrick and features several of Knoxville’s finest
local actors.
This Pulitzer Prize winning drama is an American classic based
on James Agee's brilliant Pulitzer Prize winning novel A Death
in the Family. Set in Knoxville in 1915, this luminous piece
looks at the world through the eyes of 6-year-old Rufus Follet.
Travel with him on a journey of warmth, humor and heartbreak. This
exploration of family love and strength is overwhelmingly powerful
and full of innocence and tenderness.
