Senior Adult Ministry (SAMS)
 The need to serve older adults and give them avenues in which they can
serve others motivated the organization of the Erin Senior Adult
Ministry (SAM) Council. This group is charged with carrying out
the mission statement of the church. This statement is:
Erin's Senior Adult Ministry celebrates the elder Christian's life,
experience, wisdom and faith. We seek to understand and to meet the
evolving needs of older people in our church and community. We strive
to create continuing opportunities for evangelism, stewardship and fellowship.
We encourage interaction among all ages of our church family.

Activities and Services
The following activities and services are offered to all members of Erin
and directed primarily towards the Senior members:
- Home Communion served by Rev. John Stuart assisted by elders of the
church.
- Body Recall, a fitness program meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
of each week at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm. The chair of this ministry is
Ron Roberts, a certified instructor.
- Telephone Ministry is an organized telephone chain that allows the
church to deliver and receive information primarily concerning senior
members. Marion Sanks is the chair of this ministry.
- Family Helper Program, is an activity designed to aid the seniors
with minor home repair and maintenance, transportation, and computer
assistance. Cathy Satterfield and Barry Robinson are co-chairs of this
ministry.
- Sack Lunch Program, a luncheon group that meets at the church on
the third Thursday of each month. The chair of this ministry is Barbara
Wallin and program coordinator is Hugh Jaynes. This group also organizes
periodic entertainment trips within the local area under the direction
of Maude Hoover.
