The Holy Spirit gives us abilities—spiritual gifts—with which to serve one another.

Therfore, we can serve our church, our community, and the world with our time and talents. We make Christ Lord when we spend time looking out for the needs of others: “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” (Ephesians 2:4). 

Ask God whether your giving of time and talents is in proportion to your spiritual gifts. How can you express your love for Him better? Ask yourself, “How can I serve God here at my own church?” Can you serve as an Usher or Greeter on Sunday mornings, welcoming visitors and members into worship? Would you like to express your love of the Lord to young minds as a Sunday School teacher? Can you spend an hour each week making phone calls to the homebound or preparing the Sunday bulletin?

There are endless opportunties to serve God at Erin! Anyone wishing to use their God-given gifts to benefit the ministries of the church are asked to fill out a Time & Talents Survey and return it to the church office.
