Pursuing understanding helps us encounter the divine in the mundane, and to be changed by the God who is Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of all that is around us. True wisdom distinguishes itself from self-flattery in part by finding actual expression in our lives. It is not enough to say “we love wisdom,” our behavior actually has to change. How do your actions show what you value, and what you believe? How can you move a little (even just 1%) closer to showing the wisdom that comes from above?
