The Buried Legacy Mystery

The Castle in the Rockies!! What a great place to explore and enjoy! However, while their parents are in a training workshop, 12 kids are instead dropped off at the Rec Center to be “entertained” by the hotel staff. Resentful and expecting a boring day of supervised activities, they are surprised when Mr. Fitzwilliam announces a two-team scavenger hunt.

This could be fun! But what kind of fun?

As they search for items, they find themselves caught up in a century-old mystery that leads them to an unexpected place and forces them to think about the truth of family legacies – others and their own.

Join these kids for the ups and downs, laughs and conflicts in their disorganized search to solve the mystery. You’ll be glad you did!!

John Lennon & Me is set in a residence house for seriously ill young people attached to a hospital in Nashville, TN. The playwright uses comedy and teenage language to show how young people learn to cope with serious illness and life altering circumstances.

The play unfolds from the viewpoint of a teenage girl, Star, who wants to be an actress and is the ultimate Beatles fan. However, she is also battling cystic fibrosis, an inherited disease that assures a young death. She spends most of her time in the hospital where her active imagination, stories and interactions with other teenage patients help her cope with the reality that she will never have a “normal” life.

This is a powerful, touching, and yet uproarious play about living life to the fullest, the power of friendship, and how understanding each other can ultimately help us understand ourselves. It uses comedy to explore complicated emotional issues in a responsible and respectful way. The playwright dedicates the play to “all the people who know what it feels like to be on the outside looking in.”

Such Is the Kingdom is a girls’ show choir for grades K – 5 that performs at venues around the community. If you and your child are considering participating in SITK and you would like more information about the group, its rehearsal and performance schedules and its program, this meeting is for you!

In addition to providing you with information and answering your question, we will give you and your child an opportunity to experience a rehearsal and get a better understanding of what SITK is all about! We look forward to seeing you.
