Our theme for the third week of our Sing a New Song series is “Songs of Transformation.” This week we read stories from the Bible that gave rise to songs of praise. The singers praised not just of what God was doing in their lives, but how God’s work of transformation will impact all the structures of the world. The songs overlap with each other – we imagine Mary remembering Hannah’s song and making it her own. How do we make God’s song of transformation our own, so that we also can sing a new song?
