In Holy Week, we turn to John’s gospel. You could read John’s entire passion narrative, in chapters 12 to 20, which includes a long discourse of final teachings from Jesus. The readings above are mostly the “action” sequence – events that bring him to the cross and beyond. What do you see in John’s portrait of Jesus? How does this Christ, so full of love, laying down his life of his own accord, still impact your life?
