Our Psalm this week starts, “Happy are those whose sin is covered.” We have texts about new starts: the new generation of Israelites, with no legacy of slavery, gets ready, under Joshua, to enter the promised land. Paul speaks of the new creation that takes place when anyone is in Christ; and Jesus tells parables about the lost being found; including the lost son finding a welcome back at home when he expected nothing like that. What new starts can you hope for, or do you give thanks for?
